Abstract
This study was conducted during 1999 and 2000 seasons on 13 years old head trained roomy grapevines.
The goal of this study was examining the effect of pinching as well as different dates and concentrations of Ethrel on berry set%, ripening period yield as well as physical and chemical properties of red roomy grapes.
The experiment included three factors. The first(main plots)was pinching or unpinching, the second factor (sub plots) consisted from three dates of spraying Ethrel i.e. spraying at August 8,15 or 22 and the third factor comprised from five concentrations of Ethrel (sub sub plots) namely 0.0,100, 200,300 or 400ppm. Therefore the experiment evolved thirty treatments.
A completely randomized blocks design in a split split plot arrangement was followed in this experiment. Every treatment was replicated three times one vine per each.
