Abstract The presnet investigation is a geneticaI study on nitrogen fixation and its reguIation in R. trifoIii and R. meIiIoti through; mutation (induced by acrifIavine and diethy Iamine ), intra- and interspecific hybridization between different mutants of the two species aiming to increase the effecincy of nitrogen fixation and deter- mine the possibiIity of changing host specificity. ResuIts obtained couId be summarized as foIIows: 1- Acriflavine was found to affect ratios of survivors in R. 2- The characterized mutants of R. trifolii. |
