Abstract
Some ecological and biological investigations were conducted on the cowpea weevil , callosobruchus maculatus including effect of temperature , effect of population density on biology , host susceptibility to infestation and the relation between infestation and seed germination . Moreover , the attraction behaviour of callosobruchus chinensis , and the effect of photoperiod on plodia interpunctella were also examined . In addition , some non-chemical control methods were evaluated against these pests and temperature , vegetable oils and bacillus thuringiensis against C. chinensis , as well as B. thuringiensis toxin P . interpunctella.
