Abstract
oriental hornet vespa orientalis, fab . have been studied extensively by various workers . however such work was carried out in Egypt wafa, (1956); sharkawi,(1964) and el-deeb et al.,(1965) , covering ecology, biology , behaviour and control methods.
This work was done to find any possible changes and other methods to eliminate its ( hazards to honeybee . field study was conducted in the three sites (abu – tisht – quena and Isna) in Quena governorat representing upper Egypt during two successive years 1995 and 1996.
ECOLOGICAL STUDIES OF ORIENTAL HORNET :-
Four apiaries each of 50 – 70 colonies of hybrid carniolan bees were chosen in site during 1996 seasons.
