Abstract Tuberose (polianthes tuberose, L.) is one of the most common summer flowering bulbs. It blooms during summer and autumn months with delightful fragrant white flowers and suitably used as out flowers, garden decoration and as valuable aromatic volatile oil production. Two separate pot experiments were executed at the experimental farm, faculty of agriculture EL- Minia university during the two successive seasons 1985/1986 and 1986/1987. The first experiment was dealing with the effect of three soil salinity levels (0.4, 0.8 and 1.6%of NaCI +CACI2) and four growth regulator concentrations (50or 100ppmGA3 And 25 or 50ppm kinetin) on vegetative growth, flowering characters bulb formation and sugars content. The second one was concerned with the response of the same plant parameters gust mentioned to two soil types (clay loamy or sandy calcareous) and four micronutrient treatments (100 or 200ppm Zn and 100 or 200ppm Mn). |
