Abstract

The results obtained in this study could be summarized as following:deoxynivalenol gradually lowered the percentage of germination of wheat from 74+_0.1to40+_0.02and maize grains from77+_0.4to50+_0.04grains of wheat treated with zea exhibit reduction in germinaton from 100in control plants to43+_0.1and 50+_0.03 in maize grains .reduction in seed germination which resulted from dose/dependent reduction in mitotic activity.
