Abstract
Steel industry is one of the important strategic industries for any society as it has the main effect on industrial and economic growth. Whenever the economic growth increases, the consumption of steel increases too as a result of concentration on the infrastructure projects, constructions and industrial projects.
The effect of strategic management of steel industry on the construction field was the main topic mission of this research. Defining how the construction growth in Egypt was badly affected by the price increase of the steel during the last five years and the proposed solutions that can overcome such problem were one of the big issues which had been discussed in this report. In addition of that, study of strategic management roles and its analyzing methods in Egyptian steel industry were done and found that the steel industry in Egypt is responding in an outstanding way to existing opportunities and threats in its industry.
Also, studying forecasting strategy of the Egyptian steel industry, the new projects and expansions and merging cases were important issues which resulted that the Egyptian entities should be kept Egyptian because this is in the interest of the Egyptian economy. Also, it was required to shift the Egyptian steel production companies from being local companies into international companies by commitment of the high quality and suitable cost of their products.
