Abstract This investigation was carried out on the 1 st and 2 nd ratoon crops in 1995/96 and 1996/97 seasons, respectively, in Shandaweel Research Station, Agricultural Research Center, Sohag Governorate to study the effect of row spacing(100,120 and 140 cm) and number of buds(2,4 and 6 buds/ setts) on growth, yield and quality of three sugar cane varieties (G.85-37, G.T.54-9 and F.153).A split plot design in three replications was used, where row distances were allocated in the main plots whereas, the combination between the number of buds/seed cuttings and cane varieties were distributed at random in the sub plots. |
