Abstract This experiment was conducted through two successive seasons of 2000 and 2001 on fifteen years old ’balady’ guava trees (psidium guajava L.) grown at Manshia District, Swada village, Minia Goveronorate. Trees were planted 3.5 × 3.5 meters apart in a sandy loam soil, uniform in growth, productive and receiving normal horticultural procedures as possible. Seventy-two trees /’Montakhsb El-Kanater’ rootstock were selected for studying the effect of some macro and micro nutrients on the yield and fruit quality of ’Balady’ guava trees. The experiment involved three macroelements (N,P and K) and three microelements (chelated form of Fe, Zn and Mn) and was set in a completely randomized blocks design in a split plot arrangement with four replicates eeach consisted, two ’Balady’ guava trees.the main plots were devoted to macronutrients (NPK)(factor A). the sub plots were devoted to micronutrients (Fe, Zn and Mn)(factor B). |
