Abstract
Two field experiments were carried out at the Agriculture Research and Services Center, Sohag Faculty of Agriculture, Sohag University, during two growing season 2002/2003 and 2003/2003. This work aimed at evaluating the productivity of three cultivar of canola (Brassica napus, L) i.e. Pactol, Serw-4, Serw-6 as affected by three sowing date .i.e. 20th October, 10th November, 30th November under three plant populations densities i.e. 70,000, 105,000, 140,000 plants per feddan on growth, yield, yield component as well as seed chemical compositing under the environmental condition of newly reclaimed lands of Sohag governorate.
It is recommended to sow Pactol cultivar on 20th October with density of 105,000 plants/fed to obtain the greatest seed and oil yields/fed. under the environmental condition of newly reclaimed lands of Sohag governorate.
