Abstract

The goal of the present study is a multidisciplinary approach such as palynology, foraminifera, lithology, electric logs and seismic data to construct the biostratigraphy, palaeoecology, palaeoclimatogy, palaeoenvironment and the sequence stratigraphy of the messinian sediments in the offshore nile delta area.Throughout the present work, 233 ditch and cored samples from the Messinian sequence encountered in three selected wells, namely Baltim East-1, Sekhmet-2 and temsah-3 wells were studied in details.
