It also planned to study the effect of short term control of the thyrotoxic stateon bone density.
It included 45 thyrotoxic patients with an age range from 20-73 years.
13 patients of them were males with an age range from 26-64 years. While 32 of themwere females with an age rangefrom 20-73 years.
Patients were classified according to the thyrotoxic status into the following groups:
Group 1: It comparised l2 recently discovered thyrotoxic patients (3 males and 9 females) with an age range from 22-43 years.
Group II: It comparised 13 uncontrolled Graves’ disease patients (4 males and 9

Group IV:It comparised 12 controlled thyrotoxic patients (3 males and 9 females) with an age rangefrom 20-73 years.
Group V: It comparised 11 patients who were uncontrolled thyrotoxic then have been controlled for 6 months either medically or surgically (3 males and 8 females) with an age rangefrom 22-60 years.
