Abstract
The present work deals with the flavonoids of the Picris radicate (Family Compositae, Tribe Lactuceae) and Anaphalis mareuritaceae (Family Compositae, Tribe Inulea).
The aerial parts were extracted with 80\ alcohol and subjected to column chromatographic fractionation which afforded nein flavonoids. The isolated compounds have been identified by uv. IH-NMR, 13C-NMR and MS as well as acid hydrolysis.
1. Diglycoside:
only one disaccharide glycoside was isolated and identified as Luteolin 7-0-rutinoside.
2.monoglycoside:
only one monosaccharide was isolated and identified as luteolin 7-o-b-glucopyranoside
3.acylated glycoside:
An Acylated glycoside which was identified as kaempferol 3-0-D-(6”-P-coumaryl)-glucopyranoside.
4. Free Aglycones:
Five flavonoids were found in a free states and identified as apigenin, pinocembrin (5,7-dihydroxyflavanone), glabranin [5,7-dihydroxy-8-(o-o-dimethylallyl)-flavanono), plnobanksln (3,5,7-trlhydroxy flavanone) and 5,7-dlhydroxy 3,6-dimethyl flavonol.
