Abstract

This study investigated The Effectiveness of storytelling in developing listening and speaking skills in EFL foe prep. school students. Preparatory school students’ poor listing and speaking skills constituted the rational for this investigation. Forty-eight students were involved in the study. Twenty – four served as the control group and the other . Twenty – four served as the experimental group. Both groups were observed and tested before experimentation using the instruments of the study that comprised a listing and speaking tests. Then, the experimental group students were taught using the storytelling techniques that are included in the program prepared by the researcher where as the control group students were taught using the traditional method and the activities used in the EFL classes. After experimentation, both groups were observed and tested using the same instruments. Data were treated statistically. And the finding were analyzed and discussed.
