Abstract The present study aimed at investigating The Effectiveness of the genre – based approach in developing the writing skills for EFL first year secondary school students. The study adopted the quasi – experimental pretest posttest experimental/control group research design. The instruments of the study were writing test. After experimentation, both groups were tested using the same instruments to find out the Effectiveness of the adopted approach in developing students’ overall writing skills and writing sub-skills. Date were treated statistically, analyzed and discussed. |
