Abstract
This study was directed to remove the chromium ion from atannery effluent ;
Therefore a synthetic solution of chromium salt {chromium nitrate}
Was prepared . the adsorption technique chosen . two types of adsorbents were
tested.the frist type was unconventional sorrels cement , which is magnesium oxychloride.it is prepared by mixing finely divided magnesium oxide powder
with ahigly concentrated solution of magnesium chloride . the second type of
adsorbent was aconventional calcium oxide .as acase study , industrial tannery
effluent was treated by calcium oxide for removal of the inorganic constituent.
