Abstract
The present study is concerned with studying the effect of transplanting seedlings, nitrogen fertilization and topping on cotton productivity and fiber quality under the conditions of Fayoum governorate. However, the objective of transplanting is to provide ample time for the winter crops proceeding cotton to attain the maximum profitability from those crops. This could be realized since growing transplanted cotton could be delayed till May. On the other hand, the goal of topping process is to control the vegetative growth of cotton plants and hence enhancing the fruiting growth to realize better productivity. Also, this study deals with investigating the proper dose of nitrogen fertilizer which should be applied to transplanted plants. Accordingly, nitrogen fertilizer rate which is usually recommended could be modified.
