Abstract
As indicated from test results and within the range of stresses used in this investigation the following conclusions can be draw:
1- The critical state parameters and the state boundary surface for Nile delta clay were evaluated. A knowledge of the critical state parameters can be used to predict with confidence the stresses and specific volumes at failure.
2-Over the range of over-consolidation ratios adopted in this investigation there is a geometrical similarity in stress paths stress-strain and pore pressure-strain curves for specimens with different maximum consolidation pressures with the same OCR.
