Abstract This study was carried out in the soil science department, faculty of agriculture minia university Egypt and soil science and land evaluation institute hohenheim university, Stuttgart, Germany to study recycling of town refuse and the effect of recycled town refuse on some chemical and physical soil properties as well as plant growth conditions in some soils from Egypt and Germany. In Germany, the tested soils for this study were collected from Stuttgart (eichberg, fasanenhof and kessel to represent coarse, medium and fine textured soils, respectively) in Egypt, newly reclaimed sandy calcareous soil sample was collected from waste samalout, EL- minia. Three waste materials from Stuttgart city, Germany and waste from EL- minia city, Egypt were collected to represent the town refuse in both countries. These materials in Germany were, town refuse compost hay wood residues. How ever. In Egypt town refuse compost and plant residues compost were evaluated, compared with the traditional organic manure (cattle manure). |
