Abstract

The effect of various tablet processing techniques
adjuvants on certain qualities of compressed tablets
taining small dosage of reserpine or prednisone was
3tigated. The qualities of the tablets evaluated are ntent uniformity, chemical and physical stability and u-vitro drug availability. The techniques studied are lugging, partial granulation and wet methods A, B and C ich use aqueous or non—aqueous solutions of the binder. ..e adjuvants evaluated for prednisone tablets are gelatin, iyvinyipyrrolidone arid carbowax 6000 as binders, and talc,
rio acid and magnesium stearate as lubricants.
