Abstract
The present work covers about 500KM2in west bakr area, located abou 15 km inland to the west from the Gulf of Suez shore line and west of amer bakr and ras Gharib Oil Fields The area being a part of the Gulf of Suez that has a long history of petroleum production and is considered as the most productive and promising provinces in egypt is a goal for petroleum prospecting the purpose of this study is to delineate the subsurface geogical conditions favouring petroleum accumulation in the area, and define the associated structures and thickness variations of the oil-bearing formations within it. To fulfil the proposed tasks bouguer anomaly map 14 seismic lines and data from 17 wells drilled in the area were used Gravity and seismic data from 17 wells drilled in the area were used.
