Abstract
This study was carried out at sids poultry research station. Animal production research institute. Ministry of Agriculture from march 1999 to November 2000 to study the effect of hatching date. Lighting programs and feed restriction on productive traits of Gimmizah local chickens. A total 900 one day chicks from Gimmizah strain were brooded from hatch to 20 weeks old in cages 25 chicks cage (80 × 50 × 40 Cm). At 20 weeks old the pullets were moved to individually layer cages (40 × 40 × 40 Cm)to evaluate the laying performance during first three months.
