Abstract This study was carried out at the poultry farm belongs to the Department of Animal production, Faculty of Agriculture El-Minia University to evaluate the effects of polyunsaturated fatty acids on performance, some metabolic and some immune responses of broiler chicks. At the start of the experiment, three hundred and fifty two one day old Arbor Acres were obtained. The chicks were divided into 11 treatments, each of 32. Chicks of each treatment were subdivided into 4 replicates each of 8 . The experiment was extended up to 7 weeks of age. The chicks of each replicate were allocated in a cage with slatted floor of iron. The diameters of the cage were 70 x 70 x 75cm for length, width,and height,respectively. All cages were kept inside one room of 8 x 3 floor area and 2.5m. height.there were two windows covered with wire gauze. Room’s ceiling was made from wooden logs. |
