Abstract Introduction to the history of the soliton and different methods to calculate the soliton solutions for the nonlinear partial differential equations . Chapter 2: inhomogenous Toda lattice equation using the rational method, jacobian an elliptic function method and cole-Hopf transformation. Chapter 3: the exact travelling wave solutions for the nonlinear KdV-Burgers and modified KdV-Burgers in two dimensional. Chapter 4: the nonlinear gereralized Boussinesq and modifed Kawachara partial differntial equations using the rational and Jacobian an elliptic function method. Chapter 5: the nonlinear coupled Korteveg-de Vries partial differential system using the rational and Jacobian an elliptic function method. Chapter 6: the nonlinear Hirotta-Satsuma coupled KdV system using the rational method.
