Abstract Conclusion It must be accepted that no one procedure will successfully treat all presentations of this condition. However, an understanding of the pathology and carefull clinical and radiological assessment should allow the surgeon to identify indications for the various operations used in the management of these patients. Hemiarthroplasty has the advantages of early ambulation so the advice it in elderly patients suffering from displaced fracture neck femur. Cemented prothesis is advised in patients over 75 years and of those with pathological fracture. |
