Abstract
egyptian alabaster or calcareous alabaster in the examined area occur within the middle eocene limestones, east of the nile valley. the alabaster mineralization of el-minia district occurs at latitude 28 06 N, and longitude 30 49 E. the alabaster quarries of wadi sannur southeast beni suef are sitnated at latitude 28 38 N, and longitude 31 16 E.
