Abstract This thesis includes a phytochernical study of two plants -rowin in gypt, and belonging to the families Lourninsae and Solanaceae. These two plants are : A- Lupinus termis F. (Log!1inosae) 3.. oscyaimis albus .L. (Solanaceao). Part I. Lupinus tormis F. The economic value of Lupi.nu’ species depends nainly upon their content of lupin alkaloids which are recently considered to have a cardiac action. The phytocheical invetitions of Lupinus aIaloids have been a subject of interest for s3voral workers.
