Abstract
Bronchial Asthma is a very common chronic disease involving the respiratory system in which the airways occasionally constrict,become inflamed, and are lined with excessive amounts of mucus,often in response to one or more triggers.
Early prediction of atopic bronchial asthma in children suffering from asthma in early life.
This study was carried out on 50 patients suffering from bronchial asthma divided to 25 below 6 years(A) and 25 above 6 years (B) and 20 apparently normal children as a control group aged from 2-14 years from the period from May 2008 to December 2008.
All patients and control group were subjected to :-Thorough history taking.-Thorough clinical examination with particular emphasis on chest examination.
-Investigations including compete blood picture, stool analysis, serum IgE, chest X-ray and pulmonary function test ( only for patient above 6 years of life).
