Abstract In this study, UBM was used to evaluate the anterior segment anomalies (if present) in congenital cataract cases in addition to evaluation of the lens morphology and measurement of the anterior chamber parameters. The study includes 32 eyes of 21 children with congenital and developmental cataract. The age of the patients ranged from 1month to 13 years where the mean age was 16 months. All patients were subject to Detailed History taking. All patients were subject to visual acuity testing; slit lamp examination to evaluate the lens morphology and possible AC anomalies. Intraocular pressure measurement and assessment of the corneal clarity and diameter, in addition to keratometric readings, axial length and AC depth measurements were taken. All clinical examination were done under general anesthesia . |
