Abstract
Erectile dysfunction is a social problem which causes troubles to the couple by making them unsatisfied of their life , the repeated failure in the sexual life for the couple due to male erectile dysfunction may lead to divorce or the woman litigate a lawsuit in front of the courts to be divorced from her husband .
The Egyptian courts refer man to the Medico-legal department of the ministry of Justice requesting a medico legal examination to decelerate if this man is impotent or not , the cause of his sexual dysfunction and whether it is treatable or not, for so , it was the objective of this work.
This study was carried out in the time period of January 2006 to June 2006 , and included 100 patient with erectile dysfunction collected from the andrology outpatient clinics , Assiut University Hospitals and Cairo University Hospitals in which Rigiscan monitoring system only present there for follow up of our patients .
Those patients were evaluated and diagnosed by history , clinical examination , laboratory investigations, intracavernosal pharmacotest , color duplex doppler of penile vasculature and by monitoring nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT) by Rigiscan system .
