Abstract In this work we studied the phenomenon of postmortem drug redistribution in 10 suicidal cases with co-proxamol ( dextropropoxy-phene and paracetamol) where the blood vessels were cross clamped gust before sampling and in the same time we studied this phenomenon in 17 cases with postmortem ingection of drugs, in 9 cases of them we inject a mixture of dothiepin, salicylate and mixed alcohol (ethanol, methanol, acetone, butanol and methyl propanol) in different concentrations into the trachea and in 7 cases of them the blood vessels were cross clamped just before sampling while in the remaining 2 cases the blood vessels were cross clamped before injection. The results of our study of showed site dependence of drugs whether in the 10 suicidal cases or in cases injected with the drugs postmortem, where in suicidal cases the drugs ( dextropropoxphene and paracetamol ) diffuses from the solid organs (liver and lungs) and from hollow organs ( stomach and small intestine ) into the centeral blood vessels, and in cases injected with drugs postmortem the drugs diffuses from hollow organs (trachea and stomach) into the centeral blood vessels. |
