Abstract

Introduction and aim of the work cell proliferation and differentiation are two fundamental aspects of multicolour existence, coupled with these processes is the phenomenon of unlimited growth which is the
1-elucidating the effect of lp6 on the cell cycle kinetics of the human breast and colon cancer cell lines (MCF-7,MDA-MB 23l and HT-29).
Determining weather IP6 blocks the progression of the cells through the cycle, and the exact site of the block
3-detecting the effect of IP6 on DNA synthesis (S phase).this will be achieved cells. This will give an idea about the number of cells actually engaged in DNA synthesis.
4-determining the immuno-positivity for proliferation markers (PCNA and K67)in TP6 treated cells to evaluate tumour cell proliferation.
The conclusions of this study are:
1-TP6 Controls the progression of the cells through the cell cycle by decreasing the S phase, with accumulation of cells in G/Gi phase (MCF-7 And HT-29).
2-There is a significant decrease in the expression of the proliferation marker indicating that IP6 disengaged the cells from being actively cycling
3- IP6 represent an important stap forward as a potent agent in prevention and treatment of cancer and its use in conjunction with chemotherapy should be considered.
