Abstract The role of parasites causing skin diseases in el-minia governorate seems to be relatively high in comparison with other skin diseases. The aim of the present work was to through light on the incidence of skin parasites that might cause cutaneous lesions. The study will also include the relation of the cutaneous parasitic infestations to sex, age, occupation. Level of living and education as well as seasonal variations. To achieve that goal, 1800 patients attending the outpatient clinic of dermatology and venerology department at el-minia university teaching hospital were examined for parasitic infestations by various parasitological techniques. As a result, 362 (20.1%) cases were found infested with one or other skin parasites. |
