Abstract

Some Results : *Silymarin shows a strong absorbation in the ultrativiolet region, with a maximum absorption at wavelength of 287nm (λ max ) in all investigated media. * the aqueous solubility of silymarin at 37°c were found to be 585mg/L, 354 mg/L and 885mg/L in distilled water, 0.1N Hcl and phosphate buffer PH (7.4), respectively. * The solubility of silymarin increased as urea concentration in the binary system increased. *β-C in the ternary system is action as a solid surface provider for the drug -PEG complex , which helps the complex to appear in a solid dry form. * Ternary systems prepared using both PVP and β-CD by fusion method showed marked improvement of the dissolution rate and extent of the drug. * Silymarin affects the enzymes level in the following order ALT>AST>ALP. * The histopathological studies supported the biochemical studies.
