Abstract The present work was conducted to investigate some physiological aspects of host-parasite interaction of scleretium cepivorum and onion (Allium cepa), particularly with respect to the production of cell wall degrading enzymes by various isolated of the pathogen and their role in pathegenesis. br The following aspects were studied: br A: Production of polysaccharide – degrading enzymes by three different isolates of S.cepivorum in infected onion and in culture media. br B: Effect of some environmental factors on enzyme production and activity. br C: production of cell wall degrading enzyme by the pathogen in culture in presence of isolated onion cell walls. |
