Abstract Among the all solid malignancies occurred in childhood, malignant lymphoma were found to be most frequent type. Malignant lymphoma is used to cover two conditions: Hodgkin s disease and non Hodgkin s lymphoma. Hodgkin s disease rarely occur before the age of five years , the incidence increasing steadily thereafrer. The condition is almost twice as common in boys as in girls. The central histologic feature is the reed Sternberg cell. There are four histologic subtypes of Hodgkin s disease. In the lymphocytic predominant variety almost all of the xells appear to be mature lymphocytes with only an occasional reed Sternberg cells. |
