Abstract Aim of the work To verify the frequency of antiphospholipid antibodies associated with fetal loss. Conclusions This study leads us to conclude the patients with recurrent fetal loss should be evaluated for the presence of antiphospholipid antibodies, especially if no gynecological cause for the fetal loss has been found. Long term studies are needed to determine if those with RSA and antiphospholipid antibodies progress to develop other clinical features typical of autoimmune disease. The 47 cases that were seronegative for ACA, LA must be followed up after few months for possible detection of antiphospholipid antibodies. |
