All Steroid Homones Are Derived from 27-Carbon Substrate Cholesterol, They Are Synthesized In Specialized Steroidogenic Cells In The Adrenal, ovary, Testis, Placenta And Brain, They Are Classified Into Five Families, Ovary, Testis, Placenta And Brain, They Are Classified Into Five Families, Dependent Upon The Numder Of Carbon Atoms(C) And The Chemical Group At The Key Carbon Residues.
