Pre-term Labor Is Defined As The Presence Of Uterine Contraction Of Sufficient Frequency And Intensity To Effect Progressive Effacement And Dilatation Of The Cervix Prior To Term Gestation Between 20 And 37 Weeks Pretem Labor Remains The Leading Cause Of Neonatal Morbidity And Mortality. It Account For 70% Of Neonatal Deaths And Up To 75% Of Neonatal Morbidity. Importantly, The Earlier The Gestation At Delivery, The Greater The Risk Of Adverse Perinatal Outcome.
