Abstract
Positive self perception of ageing is very important as it affects morbidity and mortality. It is multi dimensional as it is affected by several factors: age stereotypes, quality of life, life satisfaction, positive and negative affect, elderly morale and psychological wellbeing. This study was carried out in seven geriatric clubs in Cairo among 196 community dwelling female elderly to find out how elderly perceive old age.
