Abstract
Dual phase spiral omputed tomography is one of the new modalities for early detection a small pancreatic mass and staging of pancreatic tumors, because of most of pancreatic tumors are discovered and diagnosed very late and the operative treatment is impossible .so we decide to study 43 patients with suspicious of pancreatic malignancy by using dual-phase spiral computed tomography and the results of these study were 35 patients with true pancreatic malignant tumors, and remaining patients had pancreatic bening and inflammatory process.the final results were the sensitivity for tumor detection 100% resectable tumors 80 % and the accuracy for tumor detection 95% & resectable tumors 89% .so we found that dual-phase helical CT can be used as preoperative imaging technique in pancreatic malignancy provides accurate pre-operative staging.
