Abstract

This study aims at early detection of defects in renal function among patients with diabetes mellitus type II 0
This study is a descriptive cross-sectional study, was conducted over 90 patients from patients with diabetes, in the outpatient clinics of the University Hospital paves the Suez Canal and the Suez Canal Authority Hospital, Ismailia 0
And has been a question of these patients personal history, and duration of developing diabetes, and abnormalities of early failure of kidney function, that is swelling of the feet, nausea, vomiting, and pulled muscles feet with the use of a few of the medicines for diabetes, with the use of other medications for the treatment of high blood pressure, were also asked whether it was suffering from high cholesterol and blood fats as well as uric acid, and the presence of family history of deficiencies in kidney function.
Has also been detected clinical to these patients and examine the bottom of the eye, and an ECG to them, as well as the laboratory tests, which include a picture of whole blood, and cholesterol, fat and uric acid, and glycated hemoglobin in blood, and to draw creatinine and the proportion of albumin in urine, to determine the degree of deficiencies in kidney function caused by diabetes.

The patients range in age between 30 years to more than 70 years, with 9% of these patients between the ages of 30-40 years, 33% aged 40-50 years, 37% aged 50-60 years, 18% aged of 60-70 years, while 3% of these patients over the age of 70 years.
Also found that the rate of extraction creatinine in 41% of these patients more than 90 ml / min / 1.73 mm 2, while in 33% of them ranging from extraction rate creatinine between 60 to 89 ml / minute / 1.73 mm 2, in 24% of these patients, the percentage of extraction creatinine 30 - 59 ml / minute / 1.73 mm 2, while in one patient the proportion drawing creatinine 15 - 29 ml / minute / 1.73 mm 2.

This study has recommended that future studies and a comprehensive survey through periodic studies to follow up creatinine extraction rate among patients with diabetes mellitus type II, for the early detection of deficiencies in kidney function in these patients.

This study also recommended that periodic follow-up studies, the proportion of albumin in urine among patients with diabetes mellitus type II, also recommend other tests to determine the percentage of albumin in the urine to the extraction rate and creatinine for the early detection of deficiencies in kidney function in these patients.
