Tourism in red sea coast in republic of Yemen handled a study in the geography of
tourism. It aims at finding out the factors of natural and humanistic tourism and
emphasising its role in developing untraditional touristic patterns in that region and
evaluating the level of touristic supply due to its importance in planning joture touristic
activities. It also aims at defining the obstacles that may limit investing in such factors and
hinder the expansion of touristic activities in a way that matches the available potentials,
additionally it aims at setting the solutions that contribute in developing and rationalizing ]
the use of such potentials.
(The study adopted some approaches):
In order to achieve its objectives such as subjective and regional approach,
historical approach, functional approach, system approach, case study approach. It used a
number of methods such as the quantitative, analytical, descriptive, cartographic and the
photographic methods and some statistical methods that are relevant to the study. It relied
on the field study as an important tool for data and information gathering via scientific
observation and personal interviews, distribution of questionnaires, in addition to available
maps, satellite videos of this region. Results of the field study are considered the most
important source for this research, along with, text books, previous studies and
researches, reports and touristic statistics in Arabic and other language.
The importance of this study is represented in the academic contribution and the
domestic and regional application on the domestic level, it serves the field of geography of
tourism studies in Yemen.
