Summary This research deals with the linguistic efforts and their effects on the Arab dictionaries for an Egyptian linguistic man who enriched the world of linguistic with a lit of valuable books and excellent answers to his age scientists which explained and correeted a lot of illusions and faults of their books.
-Morever this gifted scientist has wownderful marginal notes on the “Sahah” dictionary for “El Gohary” which declared its ambig uits and illustrated a lot of its vocabularies, provided it with different proofs this made “Ibn Manzour” the answer of “the Arab tongue” the biggest and most fomus dictionary in the history of Arab language which he made among his five sources that he made his dictionary by.
-I have divided my research to an introduction and two sections, the first has three chapters.
-Chapter one “Inn Bery. His life and his age” I spoke about the political, social- economical and in tellectual features of his age, then dealt with his life and upringing through, his name, surname, stage name, birth, books, his teachres, students, death and criticism he had.
-Chapter two “The linguistic efforts of” Ibn bery “I showed and studied the books of Ibn Bery which are available and put them through criticism to show their importance, efforts and results.
-Chapter three “The most important points in Ibn Bery marginal notes on grammar from “Sad” to “Yaa” as Ibn Manzour said:”they are the marginal-notes that had no manuscripts, but I found Ibn Manzour.
Wrote them completely so I took the most important grammatical points which “Ibn Bery” was distinguished by.
-Second section “the marginal notes of Ibn Bery” “Sad” to “yaa” as “Ibn Manzour “said:
In this section I collected the lost marginal motes of “Ibn Bery” which are found completely only in “the Arab tongue” for Ibn Manzour” so that Ibn Bery marginal notes could be completed and had much benefit.
-Then comes the conclusion, in ti I sum – arized the most important results of research, then I proved with the most important references and sources.
-This study resulted in results and marginal notes.
-The necessity of taking care of linguistic heritage, gathering its parts and studying it objectively for much benefit.
-I used “The Sahah dictionary “which Ibn Bery has put on his marginal notes after correction by referring to “Ibn Bery” marginal notes for complete benefit of “El Sahal”
-This Study declared the great importance of “Ibn Bery” and showed his rank among language scientists and threw light on his valuable books.
