Abstract
A comparison between the influence of Cr source on
health of hyperglycemic rats (injected with alloxan ) was
studied. Sources of Cr were either Cr picolinat or
yeast .The effect of lupine was also investigated ; for latter
source the hypoglycemic effect was related to protein and
fiber, but not to Cr. Therefore, Cr of lupine was determined.
The study included the influence of mentioned
supplement on serum glucose, liver function, renal function,
serum lipids fractions and weight changes of body and
internal organs .
