Abstract Schistosomiasis is a chronic and debilitating parasitic disease affecting 200 millions people throughout the world. In Egypt , the total number of infected individuals in 1990 was estimated to be 5- 6 millions. Schistosoma mansoni, the major cause of intestinal schistosomiasis in Egypt has received much attention among other schistosomes and the subject of study in this work. Our work was to identify the antigens recognized by immunized serum and to determine the perecent resistance which occur if these antigens injected seperatly as vaccine candidates. |
