Abstract

Epigenetics Is The Study Of Reversible Heritable Changes In Gene Function (Phenotype) That Occur Without Change In DNA Sequence (Genotype). These Changes May Be Induced Spontanecously, In Response To Environmental Factors, Or In Response Of Particular Allele It Is Absent from Subsequent Generation.
There Are Many Mechanisms For Epigenetic Changes, The Two Major Important Mechanisms Are DNA Methylation And Histone Modification. Epigenetic Mechanism Act To Change Accessibility Of Chromatin To Transcription Regulation Locally And Globally Via modification Of The DNA And By Modification And Rearrangement Of Nucleosome. The Aim Of The Present Work Is To Overview The Role Of Epigenetic In The Development Of Cancer And The Use Of Epigenetic Changes As Biomarker For Disease Pedication, Diagnosis, Classification And Response To Therapy.
