Abstract The effort for finding the exact solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) is important for understanding of almost nonlinear physical phenomena. Until now, there is still no general method for finding analytical solutions to all nonlinear PDEs. There are many methods for obtaining exact solutions of nonlinear PDEs. Some of the most important methods are the Bäcklund transformation method, the Painlevé expansion method and the inverse scattering method. Recently, there are direct methods to obtain these solutions. Among these methods sine-cosine method, the tanh-function method, the generalized tanh function method, Jacobi elliptic function method, F-expansion method, generalized Jacobi elliptic function method and Exp-function methods. In this thesis, we study some nonlinear PDEs and find more exact solutions of these equations through some methods mentioned above. |
