Abstract Teaching improves women and their families’ satisfaction as they have some knowledge about condition and their questions have been answered satisfactorily. The goal of teaching in community-based care is to assist the women to achieve independence and better outcomes will result (Barry, 2000). Mastectomy as a critical event influences nearly all aspects of women and their families’ activities of daily living, furthermore, women, usually loose interest with deterioration of their economic standards also; they may experience deterioration in their sexual adjustment. These health problems of this specific group of patient eventually alter their quality of life (Johnson, 2000). |
