Abstract
The present study was undertaken to study the following objectives :
1-Estimation of heterosis and combining ability for morphological, floral and yield and its component characters in parental lines and their F1 hybrids.
2-Study the inheritance of some yield and its components and the relationship between some yield and its components by estimating correlation coefficient between the characters under study.
3-Identification of some peroxidase / estrase isozyme (s) as a biochemical genetic marker and study the histrology for floral character of three CMS lines and ten testers with their crosses.
